What is finishing?
Finishing — comprehensive post-print bookbinding processing — is a set of technological processes that transform a flat, printed sheet into a finished product, primarily high-quality packaging. It encompasses operations such as precision cutting, protective lamination, embellishment by hot foil stamping, die-cutting and precise folding and gluing.
Why does an in-house bindery make all the difference?
Having an extensive, modern machine park for finishing under one roof is our enormous competitive advantage. Many printers outsource these processes to subcontractors, which lengthens lead times and significantly increases the risk of errors.
- Full quality control: We oversee the product from the moment blank paper enters the printing press to the moment finished, glued packaging is stacked on a pallet.
- Lightning-fast lead times: No need to transport semi-finished goods between different facilities minimises production time.
- Technological consistency: Processes such as lamination and hot foil stamping are perfectly matched to the inks and paper used.
Our equipment: Precision in every detail
We understand that even the finest print can be ruined by poor finishing. That is why we invest in machines that guarantee fractional accuracy, repeatability and impressive throughput.
Cutting and Lamination: Perfect preparation of the base
Before sheets proceed to further processing, they are formatted with micrometric precision using advanced paper-cutting machines (guillotines). Subsequently, to protect the print and enhance the surface structure, we use a professional laminating machine. It allows the application of matt, gloss and the highly sought-after soft-touch film (with a velvet-like texture) popular in the premium segment.
Embellishments: Hot Foil Stamping Yawa TDS 1060
To give your products an exclusive, luxurious character, we have expanded our machine park with a dedicated hot foil stamping machine by Yawa (model TDS 1060). It enables precise hot-pressing of metallised (e.g. gold, silver, copper) and holographic foils. This is the ideal solution for producing cosmetic and premium spirits packaging, delivering a dazzling visual effect.
Folding and Saddle-stitching
Our folding machines guarantee perfect sheet folding in a variety of configurations, from simple leaflets to complex multi-fold booklets. Saddle-stitching (wire stitching) is handled by reliable Hohner lines, ensuring durable binding of brochures, catalogues and magazines while maintaining high production speeds.
Die-cutting: Easymatrix 106 CS
The heart of every packaging production run. The Easymatrix 106 CS provides fully automated, extremely precise die-cutting (cutting to the desired packaging blank shape) and creasing/scoring with automatic waste removal. Thanks to its full B1 format, the machine handles heavy packaging boards with ease.
Folding and Gluing: 2 Versor machines
The final stage of production is giving flat blanks their ultimate three-dimensional form. We base this process on two reliable, modern folder-gluers from the Polish manufacturer Versor. Their advanced automation enables extremely fast, clean and durable gluing of various box types (from simple cartons to complex constructions), ensuring they are immediately ready for packing.

An in-house finishing machine park guarantees that deadlines are met even for complex orders. Quality control takes place at every stage of the process — not only at input and output, but at every technological operation.
Hot foil stamping, lamination and packaging die-cutting
Hot foil stamping is a decoration technique in which metallic foil (gold, silver, holographic, coloured) is permanently pressed into the substrate under heat and pressure. The effect is immediate and unmistakable — the product looks exclusive and premium. We apply hot foil stamping to cosmetics packaging, spirits products, luxury goods and premium print collateral.
Die-cutting on the MK Easymatrix 106 (format up to 750 × 1060 mm) allows packaging, boxes and labels to be cut in any shape — from simple rectangles to complex constructions with tuck-ins and perforations. We have our own in-house tooling department for producing die-cutting forms, which shortens prototype lead times.
Lamination — matt, gloss or soft-touch — provides mechanical protection for the print and gives the product a desirable tactile quality. Soft-touch film is particularly popular in the cosmetics industry; its velvety surface is associated with quality and attention to detail.
